Lochgilphead
Commissioned by ERZ Landscape Architects and Hawthorn Heights, the Lochgilphead Foreshore Project involved the design and fabrication of robust, site-specific signage to support the enhancement of the waterfront area. Delivered in 2022, the work contributes to improved wayfinding and placemaking along the shoreline.
Sculpture & Design produced a series of durable signs constructed from heavy-section flatbar aluminium, chosen for its strength, corrosion resistance, and clean architectural appearance. The project also incorporated waterjet-cut lettering crafted from aluminium plate, allowing for crisp, precise typography that remains clear and legible in an exposed coastal environment.
Together, these elements create a cohesive visual identity for the foreshore, offering long-lasting, low-maintenance signage that integrates seamlessly with the wider landscape improvements.
