Islay Gaelic Centre
Commissioned by LATERAL North, the Islay Gaelic Centre Signage project formed part of a wider effort to strengthen cultural identity and enhance the visitor experience at this important community hub. Delivered in 2023, the project focuses on creating signage that reflects the Centre's purpose as a place of language, learning, and island heritage.
Sculpture & Design developed and fabricated a suite of bespoke signage elements that respond sensitively to both the architectural setting and the cultural significance of the site. Each piece was designed to balance clarity, accessibility, and visual simplicity while aligning with the identity of the Gaelic Centre and the wider landscape of Islay.
The resulting signage contributes to a cohesive and welcoming environment, supporting wayfinding and interpretation while reinforcing the Centre's role as a vibrant anchor for Gaelic culture on the island.
