Green Streamer

Green Streamer was shown as part of Phillip King's 2014 presentations at Thomas Dane Gallery, marking the sculptor's 80th year. King, long celebrated for his bold geometric abstraction, revisited earlier works including Green Streamer — a large stainless-steel sculpture whose faceted, architectural form highlights his mastery of industrial metalwork. The use of stainless steel gives the piece its crisp, reflective planes and structural clarity, qualities that have become characteristic of King's sculptural language.
