Gallowgate Artwork
The Gallowgate Artwork is a permanent public installation designed by Scottish architecture and design studio Dress for the Weather. Fabricated in galvanised, powder-coated steel, the work consists of a series of brightly coloured, geometrically patterned panels that form a striking overhead and streetscape intervention. The panels are arranged beneath a glazed canopy structure, where their vivid forms and layered patterns animate the streetscape with shifting colour, light, and rhythm.
Installed along Glasgow's historic Gallowgate, the artwork forms part of a wider programme of creative urban enhancements undertaken by Dress for the Weather in collaboration with local organisations. Their work often integrates architectural, graphic, and environmental design, using pattern and form to respond to the identity and heritage of place.
