Covid Memorial Sculpture
Artist: Caspar Wilson
Falkirk Council
2025
This striking memorial was designed by artist Caspar Wilson and fabricated by Sculpture & Design. Installed in Falkirk, the piece serves as a contemplative space to honor lives lost and the resilience shown during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The sculpture consists of a series of curved and upright steel forms arranged in a semi-circular composition. The varying heights and gentle arcs create a sense of movement and progression, symbolizing both disruption and recovery. Positioned near water and surrounded by natural landscape, the memorial invites reflection and connection with nature.
Our role was to bring Caspar Wilson’s vision to life through precision metalwork and fabrication, ensuring the forms were structurally sound while maintaining the artist’s intended aesthetic. The weathered steel finish complements the organic setting, reinforcing themes of endurance and renewal.
